First Post

My first post comes to you from a day of sitting at the IMU enjoying a thermos of cold Rooibos tea and texting a friend whom I haven't spoken with in quite a while. This post is mainly to tell you all what my blog is going to be about and how I came about starting it. 

1. I was overcome with curiosity, so I started a blog
2. My blog will be about the things that people talk about daily not realizing that they're being overheard. Hence "Mum's the Word" I find this topic immensely entertaining and I hope you agree. This includes 

• phone conversations that people aren't supposed to be paying attention to
• my uncanny ability to notice things I shouldn't
• things people do when they thing I'm not watching
